She leads a team dedicated to ensuring the company provides quality products while complying with applicable regulatory standards. She also leads ongoing efforts to improve processes and increase quality measures within BodyMedia. She has more than 25 years of experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance, primarily related to medical devices. She led BodyMedia in achieving certification to ISO 13485:2003 in 2009 and continues to expand the reach of BodyMedia products globally through expanded regulatory approvals of products internationally. Prior to joining BodyMedia, Marita served as the VP of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for NOMOS Corporation. She also spent time at Cordis Corporation and Schering Laboratories. Marita holds a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from Florida Atlantic University. |
